- AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
- To imbue in members a sense of infinite pride and self confidence in themselves and their abilities to contribute meaningfully to the growth of our collective aspirations as partners in progress.
- To ensure that the social contract between the government and the people represented by the NGOs is actualized.
- To entrench in the mindsets of individual members that there is dignity in labour.
- To ensure equitable distribution of largess of government.
- To give a rewarding sense of direction to NGOs groping in the dark for economic and social relevance.
- To ensure that the collective aspirations of the NGOs are not truncated by the ruling establishment.
- To middleman the relationship between the government and the masses.
- To organize the NGOs for positive and mutually rewarding growth.
- To act as an instrument of change politically, socially and intellectually.
- To ensure the entrenchment of people friendly policies by the ruling establishment.
- To act as a platform where NGOs shear experiences, development forward-looking strategies and rally for a common goal.
- Draw government’s attention to both existing and emerging needs of these NGOs and suggest directions for successful interventions. E.g lack of capital, funds, personnel training, etc.
- To carry out support propaganda, campaigns, rallies and advocate, sensitize and intervene for government programmes and policies that impinge on the people’s welfare.
- Constitute the Association into an instrument that the government can turn to for information on he needs and desires of NGOs and to test the pulse of the masses and to be the ultimate rallying point of societal underdogs.
- Assist the government to devise and develop revenue platforms, collect revenue on behalf of the government which because of the Association’s involvement will be made easier to collect with due consideration of the peoples interest and abilities to make financial contribution demanded of them.
- Provide training for members on skill acquisition either alone or on partnership with government and /or foreign partners.
- Provide material tools and related back-ups after training as strt-off grants/aids for trainees and ensure the growth and substance of their businesses.
- Guarantee loans and commit government to provide financial assistance and loans at a convenient rate.
- Provide advice, information and related services to NGOs as well as assist in the procurement of travelling documents to members wishing to travel beyond the shoes of this country for legitimate business.
- Galvanize members towards greater civic responsibilities and actions.
- To create youth platforms for the empowerment and job placements for the youths.
- Seek ways and means of turning around mal-adjusted social situations and aberrations such as drug abuse, prostitution and sundry social ills.
- To make the government to have a favorable bias in matters to do with advances agricultural methods.
- To do all such other things will enhance the status of members and make them positively relevant in the scheme of things.
- To promote the rule of law, equity and justice.
- To do all other things lawful that promotes the Nigerian nation and ensure the welfare of the citizenry
